Virginia Housing
Virginia has been awarded more than $258 million by the U.S. Department of the Treasury ("Treasury") for a homeowner assistance program to help borrowers that have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and meet other program requirements. We will be administering the Virginia Mortgage Relief Program (MRP) on behalf of the state. Treasury must approve our MRP plan before the program can be fully launched, in the meantime, Treasury is allowing Virginia Housing to use 10 percent of the funds immediately for administrative setup costs and to launch a pilot program for borrowers in Virginia Housing's loan portfolio.
Virginia Housing knows the HUD Approved Housing Counseling Network is critical to borrowers in need. We would like to take the opportunity to tell you about the pilot program and get your feedback about the upcoming statewide program. Please join us for a WebEx to learn more and provide your valuable input.
Virginia Housing has posted training videos for nonprofit agencies and consumers. Visit their YouTube channel to view all their current training offerings for housing counseling.
